Since August 2009 when the Center opened our Emergency Services
staff has been busy. Staff is seeing an average of 50 - 60
individuals per day or more. The new Community Resource Center
allows the staff to comfortably accommodate clients and continue to
provide smiles along with attentive service. We’re still helping the
Great Falls population acquire basic necessities, as well as helping
them access resources within the community, we’re also looking for
opportunities to expand our services. With our new building, new
staff, and new name, we’re looking forward to a very bright future
helping the community!
In addition to funding from the Community Services Block Grant
(CSBG), ARRA CSBG, United Way, Emergency Food and Shelter Program
and Emergency Shelter Grants, we are presently serving the community
through the ARRA HUD Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing
grant (HPRP). This funding allows us to work with
families and individuals for a longer period of time to mentor,
train and re-house those who without this assistance would be
homeless.
Early in 2010 we hope to have a fully equipped training center at
the Resource Center. We will continue to work closely with
organizations in the community to provide an endless possibility of
classes and mentoring. Look for future announcements.
