Section 8 Rental Assistance

HUD (Section 8) Housing Program - enables low and moderate income families to live in decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing.  This is achieved in a twofold manner.

                           a.)  By assisting families monetarily.

                           b.)   By assuring that all subsidized housing units meet federal housing standards.

The application process is lengthy and there several steps to be taken before and after being place on the waiting list.  Staff are available Monday through Friday to assist interested individuals and families.

Demand for the Housing Assistance Program is greater than funding available or housing units, there is a long waiting list.
