Low Income Energy Assistance Program
Beginning October 1st, we will be accepting
applications for 2011—2012 .
You may fill out the online LIEAP Application on the Montana DPHHS website. The link is under the How to Apply Section.
This is a fill able pdf document that you can print after filling it out.
The Low Income Energy Assistance Program helps with cost of
main heating source during the winter months. the program
subsidizes a portion of client's heating costs during the season.
Eligibility is based on family size and income, payments are made
directly to the utility vendors.

9 Year old grade schooler Emma Bergman won the statewide Energy Share poster contest with her water color entry of snowflakes on blue. Her slogan on the painting is "When winter is in the air, it is time to care with Energy Share". Representatives from from the state Energy Share Board of Directors and Pat Campbell, Executive Director for Opportunities, Inc. delivered the news and awarded her with $100 in prize money. Opportunities, Inc. has obtained a print of the watercolor and it is displayed on the wall by the LIEAP office bulletin board.

Energy Share helps people with home heating

last resort for some who are not eligible for other programs.
Concerned individuals and organizations contribute funds to assist
people in hardship circumstances.
